We were driving back to DC from Tennessee and, instead of the highway, decided to take Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park. We were at the southern entrance at around 2:30 PM. As we started driving north, we realized pretty soon that we would not be able to see and take pictures of all the overlooks before sunset. Out of sheer stubbornness and compulsiveness we decided to do it anyway. We estimated that if we spent no more than a minute on each overlook we would be able to see them all. It turned out to be a lot of fun! Alex used stopwatch to keep me on schedule. He was giving me the 50-second warning, and I knew that my time was up. Whatever I was able to see in that minute, it is all here. These are just snapshots, but nevertheless they are reminders of our little adventure on the Skyline Drive.
